AIMEE R. SULLIVAN

A Spanish to English legal translator supports clients by navigating effectively between languages and between different systems of law.

This work combines linguistic skill, subject matter knowledge, and diligent research in an interdisciplinary approach to translation as problem-solving.

Over the past 20 years, I have built long-standing relationships with clients who value the quality, consistency, and personalized attention that comes with working directly with an independent translator.

Current and previous clients include intergovernmental organizations and U.S. government agencies, as well as private sector institutions, law firms, and NGOs.

I am certified by the American Translators Association (ATA) and am also a Federally Certified Court Interpreter (FCCI).

A long-time resident of the Washington, D.C. area, I hold a J.D. from American University and am a member of the Maryland Bar Association. Before moving to D.C., I earned a B.A. in Latin American studies and spent five years living and working in Latin America.
